Meet Northwest Food and Fiber Host: Prairie Underground

Founded in 2004 by lifelong friends Davora Lindner and Camilla Eckersley, Prairie Underground is a model for sustainable and ethical creation and local manufacturing. The small-batch, slow-fashion design house uses organic, recycled, and deadstock fabrics and has made it a priority to reduce waste where possible.

Davora and Camilla are passionate about making clothing in Seattle and supporting local production, sewing and manufacturing. Their commitment to the local sewn-trades economy is evident through their continuous efforts to share resources and knowledge with businesses and students by inviting the community into their space for brainstorming sessions, tours, and collaborations.

Northwest Sewn and Seattle Good are expressing their gratitude for Prairie Underground's support of this inaugural event and the opportunity to collaborate with a company that shares their vision for a thriving and sustainable regional economy of sewing and textiles.
