BARRACUDA

Featuring one of the best and biggest riffs ever, ‘Barracuda’ became Heart’s signature song and the one that broke them massively into the rock world. Forty-six years after the original was released, New York quartet Plush has unleashed their own souped-up version, bringing a modern twist while being faithful and respectful to the source.

Plush's rendition of the iconic Heart song "Barracuda" is undoubtedly a thrilling addition to their repertoire. Known for their ability to infuse classic tracks with their unique style, Plush's take on this legendary song is bound to captivate audiences.

“We wanted to pay homage to Heart because they’ve inspired so many generations of musicians, and I’ve always looked up to Ann as a vocal legend,” says vocalist Moriah Formica

"Barracuda" is a rock anthem that resonates with its powerful vocals and searing guitar riffs. Plush's interpretation honors the original while bringing its artistic flair to the forefront and adding its modern touch. It will surely delight both longtime fans of the classic and newcomers alike, solidifying their position as a band capable of breathing new life into timeless rock tracks.

“As a band, our goal was to keep the song as close to the original as possible to keep the elements that everyone knows and loves, while also adding just the right amount of Plush to bring in our own style,” Formica notes. “We hope you love our rendition and are brought down memory lane with us!”

First covered by singer Moriah Formica on social media during the lockdown, public demand has been so high that it had to see an official release; the eviscerating lyrics are belted out with power and passion, the music as blistering as ever.

Video for Plush cover of Heart’s “Barracuda” has been released on January 8th featuring dynamic performance shots and fun behind-the-scenes footage.
