There’s nothing quite like the energy of a live rock show—the raw vocals, the electrifying guitar solos, the thundering drums, and the undeniable connection between band and audience. It’s a feeling that fans chase, a moment that exists only in that space and time. But what if you could capture that experience and relive it over and over again?

Plush has answered that call with Live USA ’24, an album that transports listeners straight into the heart of their explosive performances.

With this release, the all-female rock powerhouse delivers the next best thing to being in the crowd, giving fans an unfiltered, high-octane experience. As a band that has been making waves in the rock scene with their powerful sound and undeniable presence, Plush has built a reputation for dynamic performances and emotional depth.

Their latest live album features songs from their critically acclaimed self-titled debut album and Find The Beautiful EP, offering a setlist that showcases their range from anthemic rockers to emotionally charged ballads.

Live USA ’24 is not just a collection of live recordings—it’s an invitation to step into the world of Plush, where passion and power collide in the most electrifying way possible.

“When we headed out on tour, there was no plan to record a live album. In fact, we had no idea it was even a possibility until after the tour. Our sound engineer had mic’d a few shows specifically to create reels for social media,” says frontwoman Moriah Formica.  “It was our management, after hearing the reels, that thought it would be an excellent idea to put together a live album. So what you hear is Plush rough and raw. It’s not polished and wasn’t scripted. We’re super excited to bring this live concert experience to our fans!

A Band Born to Perform

Plush burst onto the scene with a clear purpose: to revive fierce, all-women, melody-infused rock and put it back in the spotlight. Comprising four incredibly talented musicians—vocalist Moriah Formica, guitarist Bella Perron, bassist Ashley Suppa, and drummer Faith Powell—the band quickly gained a following for their high-energy performances and musical prowess. From opening for some of rock’s biggest acts—such as Evanescence, Slash, and Disturbed—to headlining their own shows, Plush has proven time and again that they are a force to be reckoned with..

Their debut album introduced the world to their signature blend of modern rock infused with classic influences. Songs like Hate and Better Off Alone established them as a band that could deliver heavy-hitting riffs alongside deeply personal lyrics. With their Find The Beautiful EP, they expanded their sound, offering tracks that explored themes of resilience, self-discovery, and empowerment. But as powerful as their studio recordings are, Plush’s true essence shines brightest in a live setting—where their chemistry, energy, and passion take center stage.

Live USA ’24: A Captivating Experience

There’s an authenticity to a live album that can’t be replicated in a studio. Live USA ’24 captures Plush in their natural habitat—on stage, in front of roaring crowds, giving everything they have to their performance. Each track on the album pulsates with raw energy, immersing listeners in the electricity of a live show. The crispness of Formica’s vocals, the searing intensity of Perron’s guitar work, the steady pulse of Suppa’s bass, and the relentless power of Powell’s drumming create a sonic experience that demands attention.

The setlist is a perfect balance of fan favorites and deep cuts, ensuring that both longtime supporters and new listeners have something to enjoy. Standout moments include the fiery intensity of Run, the anthemic energy of Left Behind, and the haunting vulnerability of Find The Beautiful and Hope it Hurts. Each song is delivered with a passion that makes it clear why Plush has been heralded as one of the most exciting acts in modern rock.

Live USA ’24 wouldn’t be complete without Plush’s electrifying rendition of Heart's Barracuda which blends powerful vocals and searing guitar riffs to honor the original while adding their own modern edge. Their faithful yet refreshed take on this classic rock anthem showcases the band's ability to pay homage to the essence of the song while adding their unique style.

Why Live USA ’24 Matters

Live albums hold a special place in rock history. They serve as time capsules, preserving moments of musical magic that would otherwise fade with the end of a tour. Live USA ’24 does just that—it immortalizes Plush’s growth, strength, and stage presence, offering fans a chance to relive their electrifying performances whenever they want.

In an era where studio production can sometimes overshadow authenticity, Plush reminds us of the sheer power of live music. Their raw, unfiltered approach on this album is a testament to their dedication to the craft, proving that their talent extends far beyond the recording booth. It’s a declaration that rock is alive and well, and Plush is leading the charge.

Live USA ’24 is Plush’s first live album. Produced, mixed, and mastered by Paul Benedetti and recorded by Peter Jones, this release captures the band’s iconic performances from the Find The Beautiful Tour in 2024.

Oceans On Orion, the genre-bending modern metal band based in Tel Aviv, Israel, continues to forge bold new creative paths with their latest release—a striking reimagining of Linkin Park’s emotionally charged anthem, “Breaking the Habit.” Rather than simply recreating the original, the band reconstructs it with intensity and purpose. Featuring the haunting and expressive guest vocals of Israeli singer-songwriter Danny Ly Ziser, this version transforms the song into something deeply personal and sonically powerful.

Layering the original’s emotional depth with crushing djent-style riffs, punchy nu-metal grooves, and a cyberpunk visual aesthetic, Oceans On Orion redefines what it means to honor a classic while reshaping it into something bold and new. From the first frames of the video, viewers are plunged into a dystopian landscape—marked by decaying backdrops and glitch effects—that powerfully mirrors the emotional chaos and introspection at the heart of the song’s lyrics.

In the world of rock music, time is often the ultimate test of an album’s significance. Some records fade into obscurity, while others stand as a testament to the artists’ dedication, passion, and craftsmanship. For Mike Derosier, Roger Fisher, and Steve Fossen, their journey with the band Reigning Sun is one of perseverance, nostalgia, and musical brilliance. Decades after their initial recording sessions, their album Forest Rain is finally getting the recognition it deserves—proving that true art transcends time.

Originally recorded between 1992 - 1995, Forest Rain was born from a deeply personal and artistic collaboration between guitarist and vocalist Roger Fisher, drummer Mike Derosier, bassist Steve Fossen, and guitarist/vocalist Gino D’Cafango. The project was conceived as a tribute to Roger’s late son, Forest, while also serving as a celebration of their shared musical synergy. The band poured their hearts into crafting a sound that embodied both emotional depth and rock ‘n’ roll energy.

I could never say that I used to be a huge Iron Maiden fan, but when I learned that my old-time friend Mistheria, A.K.A.  Giuseppe Iampieri, the mastermind behind Vivaldi Metal Project, is playing keyboards with the great Bruce Dickinson on his 2024 tour in support of Bruce’s new album, “The Mandrake Project,” and they will be playing one of their very first shows of the tour at The Observatory in Santa Ana, CA on April 15th, I just couldn’t miss it!

An even bigger surprise hit me when I read that Brian Wilson (Night Demon, Hellwitch, Yngwie Malmsteen), an exceptionally talented drummer, with whom I collaborated on “Never Give Up” feat. Nick Z Marino music video is playing with the Night Demon, a supporting act for Bruce Dickinson on that one and only announced U.S. show!
