Becca’s Closet originated in 2003 from the initiative of Florida high school student Rebecca “Becca” Kirtman. Her mission was to gather Prom dresses for girls who couldn't afford them. Becca's efforts resulted in over 250 dress donations, enabling many girls to attend their Prom that year.
Tragically, Becca passed away in a car accident at the age of 16. Today, her parents, Pam and Jay, carry forward her vision through the organization. Becca’s Closet has since expanded to 47 chapters across 23 states. They provide dresses, cover ticket costs, and award post-secondary scholarships to high school girls in need, honoring Becca’s legacy of generosity and kindness.
